Through-Wall Screw in style Heater

SCREW PLUG IMMERSION HEATERS are ideal for direct immersion heating of liquids and gases including all types of oils and heat transfer solutions. Screw Plug heaters are designed for through-wall installations.

Tanks should have a mating coupling welded in place for the plug heaters to install in the fluid. We have a variety of POPULAR stock options and made-to-order assemblies that can ship quickly as existing designs. We also design CUSTOM MADE assemblies per your application needs!

Performance Capabilities: Watt densities to 120 w/in2 (18.6 w/cm2), Wattages to 38KW, UL and CSA component recognition to 480VAC and 600VAC, Incoloy Sheath temperatures to 1600’F (870’C), Passivated 316 stainless steel sheath temperatures to 1200’F (650’C), 304 stainless steel sheath temperatures to 1200’F (650’C), Steel sheath temperatures to 750’F (400’C), Copper Sheath Temperatures to 350’F (175’C) Features: Screw Plug Element Sizes: 1″ NPT with .315″ round elements; 1-1/2″ NPT with .315″ or 1″ flatbar elements 2″ NPT with .475″ round elements 2-1/2″ NPT with .475″ round elements or 1″ flatbar elements Variety of Plug materials: Copper, Steel, Stainless Integral Thermowells for local process temperature Integrated Limit Thermocouples on Sheath (optional) Variety of Terminal Housings: NEMA 1, NEMA 4, NEMA 7, NEMA 4/7 Welding and Brazing for pressure tight seal at element to plug area Single and Three Phase Horizontal or Vertical Arrangement Capabilities.
